After 2 re-fits I finally got today my 3rd set of wonderful ES3X's. I decided to change the colour to 'Ice Blue', a lighter shade of blue, instead of my 'Candy Blue' from my previous two sets.

Here's some better photos of the ES3X taken in bright daylight - it's an even lighter shade of blue than photos on my previous post, and these now pretty much reflect the actual look:

About the wireless thing, there is a company that make cheap IEM's (like $100) that comes with the same wireless thing. They sell the wireless thing for $60 IIRC.

I might pick one up sometime, and splice a Livewire cable onto it. Was thinking about doing it with a sleek one, but this ones is even cheaper!

People say the sleeks are good IIRC. They are tuned for sleek though. Don't know how hard they are to "tune"... Probably nasty surface mount resistors. Could play with the values of some of them if you knew they were the right ones

Maybe just not for you. I'm sure you could re-sell it if you didn't like it, but as a student of 16, I can't risk the money as of now. and i'd ruin a LW's cable. ££££

Do you still have the wireless device by the way? I'd be interested in trying it if it is any cheaper used

The Sleeks are gone. I still have a wireless transceiver system called " i2i". ( Amazon) you can plug one unit into any 3.5 source and clip the other to your pocket and plug any headphones into it. five or six frequencies ( color coded to match the other box). USB rechargeable and a respectable SQ IMHO. 2.4 Ghz. but I didn't get any interference from my 2.4 Ghz phones. Kind of neat but I wouldn't want to run full sized cans off of it. Best for IEM's
The Sleek's "Kleer" technology is 2.4 as well. If you wanted to cut off the ends and solder your own iems wires or connector, it would most like be fine. I don't think that it is Sleek specific tuning.
But alot of work when there are other choices out there. "Nady" makes a semi-pro "Personal Monitor" transmitter and belt pack for around 130.00 usd IIRC.
