Hi all,

I'm newbie to this world, thats why I'm asking advice.

I can't find the Philips SBC HP 805 here, believe it's discontinued.

What about the Philips SHP2700 ? Is it a good choice for replacement?

I've heard goods about Senn 280 pro, but is another class e very hard to find around here.

Thank you for attention.

Regards,

Cedric

If your looking for a good set of cans around the same price as the Philips SHP2700 then you should probably look into JVC HA- RX700's. I just got mine today( I bought them used on the market for $25) and they are absolutely fantastic. I really can't get over how amazing they have been, I've literally put on 10 hours of use in the last 12 hours.

Hi!

Thanks SoSpecial, I'm considering it.

And thanks for the welcome winma, I hope to contribute more than I ask !

Considering I'm living in Brazil, South America, the budget is relative.

To your reality, I'm looking for a reasonable can in  the range of 70 usd, for starting.

I do have a Philips sbchp 250, less than entry as know..

I'm ecletic person, love from classics to rock.

Any suggestion will be welcome.

Thanks!!

I myself use the Sr80i and I can say it is very good, especially with classical, jazz, reggae, and metal. I can't compare it to other headphones for you though, but you will be impressed especially if it is amped, even a "cheap" amp like the one built into my Essence STX sound card works wonders on it.

Thanks MohawkUS, I'll buy mine next week.

In fact, classical will be my primary goal.

And then I'll give you a feedback

I'll see an amp around here and try all combinations.
