How this amp in the bass region
Clean, solid bass slam. But it will depend on your source and headphones as well. How this amp in the bass region
There really is no best answer for a match. Complete system synergy including the headphone of choice is really what your after. All the separate components have a flavor of sorts and everyone has a different preference as to what sounds best.Thinking of getting the Soloist 3x but was wondering what are the recommended DAC pairings to go with it. Options for Delta Sigma, R2R, NOS etc please. Thanks.
I'm currently using a ADI-2 DAC with my 3XP. I like it but have nothing to reference but a Schiit Modi and SMSL D300 so I wont be much help.I was looking at the denafrips Pontus 2 , Gustard r26 or Soekris DAC2541 to pair with the Soloist 3X.
I gave fostex th900mk2, Avantone Pro Planar, Quad Era-1, Ollo Audio S5X, Beyerdynamic Amiron Home. I stream through Qobuz.

Send them an email and they will reply with a payment link for checkout.Has anyone had much success in obtaining the XLR to RCA adapters that seem to come with new units, but were not included with older ones? Wish Burson would just list them on their site for purchase.
Anyone using the Soloist 3XP as a preamp? How good is this thing? I switched recently to a proper hi-fi setup and the little bugger is now on preamp duties. The Fiio M17 is good enough for driving headphones and IEMs.
Speakers are Dynaudio Evoke 50, Denafrips Venus II DAC. iFi Zen Stream with Roon, perfect digital source.
One more proof that size is overrated
PS: don't mind the furniture, a better setup will be here before long.
Burson, your Cool stand is really cool, however you are getting a bit ridiculous with that price! While admitting the stand is looking fantastic, it can't be 6X cooler than this one... Already have one in black for my Lenovo Tiny PC so I know it fits.
I used it as a preamp for a little while. It sounded as good if not better than my vintage Sony 2244 preamp when switching back and forth between them using the same source and speakers. However, I like my Burson in headamp mode for headphones. This disables the preamp output. Switching it back to normal mode takes 12 seconds. Just wasn’t worth it to me so I don’t use as a preamp anymore.Anyone using the Soloist 3XP as a preamp? How good is this thing? I don't listen on headphones these days as my two-channel system is pretty darn good. Plus, my wife hates me having them on However, I can always plug in my Sony MDR-Z1Rs in the pentacon or XLR and listen away!I used it as a preamp for a little while. How did you manage around the pesky rubber bumps? Wish the stand was just 1cm shorter but it is great, nevertheless.it does fit indeed
