I picked up a pair of these cans used for about half their $40 retail. http://www.brookstone.com/sl/product/62825-pro-series-headphones.html  They sound absurdly good unamped with my Iphone and Clip.  I am comparing them with Sony V6s and I like them as much.    Anybody know about them?  They must be rebrands of something since Brookstone stuff usually doesn't ring my bell.

Hmm... the resemblance to the Meelec HT-21 is uncanny:

Interesting...the specs are a bit similar too. Doesn't seem like the same drivers according to specs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the striking resemblance.

Thanks, good catch.  I can confirm the headphone jack is the same 45 degree angle on the Brookstone as the MEElec. The asking price seems the same too ($40).

What the... hmmm... I guess this confirms my suspicion that S2E INC DBA Meelectronics (funny how S2E is not an LLC) doesn't actually own a factory and R&D to make their headphones, but were just finding stellar Shenzen OEM products to export.

What's Brookstone's return policy? Someone needs to buy these to see if they sound identical to the HT-21. Actually, if these are the same and priced equally, I would prefer the shiny Brookstone version since the Meelec black sticker is a bit cheap looking.

And check out Brookstone's KIRF pxc-250:

Rebrands confirmed. No way a decently upscale gadget shop has so many different kinds of headphones.
