Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
Jan 1, 2016 at 11:58 AM Post #5,371 of 6,668
Hi, I am planning to upgrade my AK100ii to either the 320 or 240 and I would to ask you guys what would be the best way to transfer my library and playlists (stored half in internal memory half in my SD cars). I am using a MAC but as far as I know you can not see both players in your Mac desktop and just drag. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Drag and drop files from the internal to your desktop using the Android File Transfer app.  That's how I did mine.  The micro-card should be able to be read using a card reader and a USB cable.  Or just pop it out of the 100 and put it in the new one.  Or do the same as the internal using the Android app.

Why the upgrade?

Thanks for the advice. Do you know if the playlists are preserved using the drag method?

I love my AK100ii but had a chance to listen to the 320 last week and difference is huge for me. Really like it.

I tried to transfer my playlists, PC wouldn't allow it. Just trying to copy and paste the M3U file.

I was beginning to think I was the only one that played albums through.

I fiddled with making playlists in the past. The truth is, I derive far greater joy from listening through an album in its entirety. When you're not choosing which songs are the "best" for your playlist, you realize they're all great, and deserving of their position on the album.

I listen to albums, or I make up albums (compilations) using my tagging editor.  One of the nice things with AK software is the Play All button.  I tried making up playlists, to me it was more trouble than it was worth (to me), when I could just assemble things as I liked.

I find that making playlists in-player with the AK couldn`t be simpler:  just hit the + button and then select which playlist to add the track to.

ahem...
Can anyone comment on usb Android Dac functionality with firmware V 1.29  for AK100.II???
Mine does not seem to work anymore yet it still works with PC...
I tested it both on Galaxy Note 4 and tablet Galaxy Pro.
Nothing happens either when i plug the AK100.ii on my smartdock too.

Thanks
