Hi folks,

Which SQ is better AK120 TITAN (old) or AK100 II ? I like warmer sound. I am listen usually EDM. Thanks

Wolfson is warmer than Cirrus Logic, so the AK120 should be warmer than the AK100II.  I have the AK120 and AK240, and I can tell you that the AK120 is definitely warmer.

$15 is a bit steep for an adapter cable and I'm sure DIY will cost less (not by much), but I'm too lazy to spend the time to research, source the parts, and build the cable.

I will second that!Just got my AK120 Titan a few days ago joining my AK100ii and loving it,not as much power as the AK 100ii.
Enjoying the Titan more than the 100ii straight out the box(probably because I was more used to the wolfson sound (ipod 5g and Fiio X3)havent A/Bed them but I think I will enjoy them just as much as each other especially since I got them at a bargain price.Both quality.
Will hopefully sit down with both over the weekend and compare sq.

I think AK120 good choise for me. I have DX90 and I really like but, they sound sometimes more flat and transparant for me.

You can grab a Titan right now at 50% of rrp.which is a steal this is one dap which won't lose its value,SQ,build and storage are superb,It will be worth more in 5 years time.

why not build one yourself, you will get it fraction of cost and fun of doing it.

I am not very handy but willing to try. It would be nice to have something while I learn the ins and outs of DIY cabling. Any must read threads for DIYing?

I own the AK100II, soon I will be getting silver-dragon-v3- for my Oppo PM-1 headphones I'm new to the balance and unbalanced cable,May sound like a silly question so bare with me,but I wanna make sure I get it right, if I was to go with the unbalanced cable what should the Jack size be? Same goes for balance As well? Thanks

You have the original version or the AK100MK2?  If you only have the original, then the improved output impedance alone is worth the upgrade in my book.
