@razzer001 I hope business has been going great! I first heard of you guys through Massdrop's B100 drop and although I sold my B100, I still have good memories of it. If you can scale up production do another drop sometime :)

I've been catching up on the many pages in the past and would like to check a few details:
1) Will any of the green/pink colours ever come back?
2) As I wear my IEMs almost everywhere, is there a particular finish that lasts longer? For example does frosty or coloured hold up better?
3) Do you still allow custom mixing of colours e.g. L blue, R red in the order details? If this is too troublesome because QC and volume/driver matching between left and right, it's ok.
4) When you ship to Singapore which shipping provider is it? I prefer collecting from a pickup point due to my schedule instead of delivery to address but not all providers do it. If not, I will use a forwarding address in China which can do holding for me in Singapore.

Cheers!

Can you compare shp9500 with b400? Thank you

The B400 is warmer, smoother in its frequency response (especially in treble), but has less immediate detail. What I mean by that is that the B400, at least for me, takes takes a few minutes to get past the initial impression of warmth to hear the smaller details. The overall sound is lush and organic. Soundstage is larger on the Philips, obviously, but the B400 is pretty good for an IEM. Based purely on sound, the B400 is the clear winner, though they are different enough in sound to justify having both. I very much prefer the SHP9500 for gaming and found that they unexpectedly awesome through my Audio-gd 28.38, meaning that they scale well.

I just got my tfz king pro back again (new unit shipped from lend me ur ears) and damn, listening to the b400 I've forgotten what 20-40 hz sounds like.

Totally different sound profiles, glad to own them both, couldn't pick a favorite if you put a gun to my head....

Let us know if you hear any of those 40hz notes

They sure do tickle the ear drums... Maybe I shouldn't be EQ'ing that +7db?

Hey Rich

Thanks - they were an easy one to review as they fit my preferences pretty well :)

Re qJays vs B400 - similar in their balance. B400 has a bit more bass quantity, a bit more mid-range presence, and is a bit smoother through the lower treble. Both have great extension. Click for larger image.

With the X7ii they sound the same to me balanced vs SE as long as you volume match properly. I've never been a big proponent of balanced unless you need more voltage/power. In the review I showed measurements of bal vs SE. I volume match pretty closely, and I don't think a lot of other reviewers take this step. Other measurements from FiiO would tend to indicate that any other perceived differences are actually inaudible (THD, crosstalk, SNR).

And unfortunately i wasn't part of the B200 or B300 tours - so haven't heard them.

My top 3 IEMs below $250 would be Simgot EN700 Pro ($150), B400 ($180) and Curve ($250). They're all brilliant :)
Hello @Brooko , your top 3 IEMs below $ 250 is still the Simgot EN700 PRO, B400 and Curve? thank you

Does anyone have any mod ideas that will bring a little bit more treble energy out of the B400's? I love these to death, but I still find myself wishing for a just a little more treble at times.

No, not aside from using different tips or eq. :k701smile:

But looking at your signature, I have a question. How does the imaging/staging of the b400 compare to the lz a5 and flc8s?

I ended up buying a B200 due to lower cost, with the purpose of upgrading if I will not burn in my brain. My ask is: why it sounds so beautifully on my iPhone and so distort from my MacBook Pro late 2011? Has the B400 the same incompatibility?
