Bose stands for Buy.Only.Satan's.Equipment

Bose bashing never seems to die here. At least its worthwhile when people post their justification for not liking equipment because they've tried it and found flaws, but this is getting ridiculous.

This is in about every dedicated audio forum, be it headphones or speakers. Bose is hated, even despised, about everywhere in hifi realm, though Headfi seems more vocal about it in groupbashing way from what I have seen.

Well, the article was from the 1970... did we sure the author didn't have any 'fun pills' before the audition?

For some reason, that made me full-out burst into laughter.

Anyway, the 80's were when Bose was good (at least for professional equipment), so this doesn't say much.

Yeah I know, and I can certainly understand the sentiment; it's just threads like this one that don't contribute anything and just come in to be on the bandwagon.

Lets see here. I think I understand the order of operations.

1. Company Bashes Bose in review because they exploit honest people.

2. Bose sues company for review in fear that if everyone has freedom to talk about their products they will have to make decent products.

3. People continue to bash Bose for sucking many decades later.

Hmmm I see no problem with this. I think we are doing people a great service here.

Ok, we’ve been over this in I don’t know how many threads; so let me try to summarize. Bose is expensive for the sound quality, it’s not bad, but you can get better sound for less money. As far as the headphones go the same thing applies accept almost everyone agrees their sound canceling ability and comfort are the best available. Now lets move on everyone, there’s nothing to see here.

I dunno about you, but I would certainly want Satan's audio equipment - he clearly knows a thing or two about rock & roll.
