My sister bought me some Bose on ear headphones for Christmast because she knows I like headphones and like most people who don't know headphones, they think they are the best. Now I don't claim to be a audiophile but I definitely can tell a good sounding headphone from a bad one. To me the these hp's sound muffled and dark. I don't hear the clarity that bose claims to have. I really don't like using them but I feel like I should because if I don't she will feel bad that she spent that much money on something that isn't being used.

Not a bad gift.  They aren't horrible cans, and they will get better with time. Otherwise you should just return them if you don't like them, she should understand.

You're going to think I'm crazy for saying this, but Bose headphones can be modded to improve their clarity.
