Although our tunings may differ, I more or less share the same experience with my MX400, where it's only shortcoming is a lack of quantity of mid and subbass. Otherwise, the detail and imaging are top tier, better than anything I've ever heard. I just shipped my MX400's back to Wong for repairs, so I'm hoping that goes well!

It took me by surprise initially, but I quite quickly adjusted. Detail and imaging are really very good, the driver clearly has its strengths. How do you find vocals on it? On mine they're impressively human in texture and nuance.

Again, I would echo your thoughts. With the mid-forward sound of the MX400, the vocals on other earbuds seemed veiled in comparison since the MX400's were my daily drivers. Vocals are very "raw' and natural, very enjoyable and one of those "I haven't heard my music sound like this before" moments for me.

Lovely! Glad to be a part of the 400 ohm crew. Quite an interesting driver!

Maybe this is a property inherent to the driver itself?

I've been concerned that I'm not giving it enough power to bring out the low end.

What are you both using to power the MX400s?

I'm willing to bet its a property inherent to the driver, as I am driving mine off a Monolith 887.

Agreed, it's great for critical listening, however I am putting all my chips into the upcoming 266R to be my "endgame". A true, balanced Blur earbud is all I should ever want for.

Well I did suggest the Wraith but I believe Master Wong suggested the new 189 and I bow to his experience on this!

Yes curious on that too, I checked Amazon and couldn't see many options... I'm guessing AliExpress but I hate waiting weeks
