IMHO the Senn 650's are great for jazz. Excellent range and intimate enough for small groups.

Try calling Brooklyn again...I listen to mainly blues and jazz and vocals. My main headphone is Sr325is. They sound very dynamic and are terrific. I will likely go to RS1 in a few years.

Great list I have never seen it beofre but it differs somewaht from all the other lists I have seen. So now I can get inspiration to buy some more CD's.
For jazz listening (which is what I listen to the most) and all other genres for that matter I use the AKG K400, and I find them really good, right now I'm enjoying "Song for my father" by The Horace Silver Quintet.

I would buy a used K240 which sounds very realistic with these genres.  I have been using a K240 M which can be found cheap on eBay.  Otherwise I really liked the K702 due to its incredible detail and luscious sound stage
