I am about to buy some headphones and i would like to know which of these are better and it comes down to a few things:
Mainly audio quality
Accoustics
Portability
Durability
Size smaller better

The M50s fold, and the ZX700s don't, so I think they have a one-up on portability... However, they're also pretty big on the head... Maybe you should check out ljokerl's review thread, I think he has both of those.

after seeing the picture the zx700 seems bigger on the head or is that just me also the m50 seems low profile im also worried about th cord

The M50's not really low-profile... but if you get the straight-cord version, you can make a little coil and stick that in your pocket, so it's not in the way... Alternately, you could recable them, or braid the cord, like some people have...

Well, the coiled cord is bulky all-around, so it might not be as good for walking around... With the straight cord, you can keep all of the excess in a pocket or something

i decided to buy the ath-m50 and get the coiled one im thinking of doing that keeping exccess in pocket but instead wrap up the coil in each other three times if that makes sense hopefully it will work ^^ thanks

I guess they are more "portable" than the sony hp's. I have seen people wearing the M50's on the streets, and it does look ok.

Well heres what i thought when I choose the ATH-M50, the fold up design and all the joints used to rotate the ear piece. They sound great, I have never heard the zx700 but the m50's are great and with an amp sound even better
