Thanks for the tip on the tips! I'm still not optimistic about those stock tips, because I thought I'd tried absolutely every conceivable combination with no luck. But I'll give it another go... If I have no luck, I'm still ok. I love the Xelentos with the SpinFit tips :-)

May I ask from which website did you buy your Xelento in the US?

Also i would like to know how they compare to i4 or i20, even if the later one is open and planar magnetic.

I have both the Xelento and the iSine 20, and I love them both. I tend to use them in different environments, and I use the Xelento FAR more than my Audeze. Some of that is because I tend to prefer isolation and I work in some noisy environments. The other part is that while I like the customizability of the iSine, they definitely do require EQ to really shine, and I don’t feel like I’ve quite got them dialed in perfectly. When I do have just the right EQ for a given song or type music, the iSine 20 is sublime, but the Xelento are great under any circumstances.

Just snagged a pair, they compliment the SE846 quite nicely!
I had the misfortune of ripping the medium eartip when removing it, as I pinched it from the nozzle side with my nail. Does anyone know where I could source a replacement from? Can't seem to find them in the spare parts section on the official site.

Luckily the Large ear tips seem to be working just fine, if not better.

Glad you're having fun with them Xelentos!

I think you can find eartip replacements at Beyerdynamic.

You are talking about USD 10 a pair, not including shipping cost direct from BD.

I requested a quote (shipped) via email as this part number is not formally listed in the Spare Parts section of the official website. Thank you.

Has someone managed to successfully straighten the cable using a blowdryer/reverse bending the kinks? The cable material seems softer than what I'm used to; I'm semi afraid to melt it. Searching for keywords "dryer, blowdryer, straighten, straight" in this thread didn't give any relevant hits on that topic.

I can tell you from my experience of making my own IEM cables, the most difficult part by far is applying just the right amount of heat via my heat gun to the two twisted pairs that come out of the y-split. It's an incredibly thin line between applying too little heat and having no effect on the wires (which will quickly unravel) and applying too much heat (which will melt/burn the cable) and incinerating anything combustible nearby.

How straight do you want the cable, how are you going to store it on the move, you just want to roll them into large loops just like the photo's, if you are going to store it just like the third cable as in a pouch, it's not going to do any help, the supplied case is pretty good for storing it, this case comes with the Xelento remote and wireless, whiles the wired version you will get a smaller case like I did, I had to buy this case, whiles you should get it out of the package.
