I wonder which over ears beyerdynamic make sound closest to the Xelentos, perhaps the T1/T5P 3rd gen, with their increased low end and rolled off highs? Reviews seem mixed on the T1, 5 star What HiFi but most YouTubers aren't impressed.
I have had the exact same question whether the Xelento v2 have a less analytical presentation and more "natural" sounding. I wish I could listen to them somewhere.

Ive had the T5p 3rd gen and they are horrible. The T1 are even worse. What HiFi is a lame site, they really dont have any idea what they are writing. Just avoid them.
Very curious about Xelento 2, I'm a huge fan of single DDs and was always curious about the 1st gen Xelento but never took the plunge. Impressions here sound good so far, maybe my Christmas present...

Very slight, obviously it's down to individuals and fit but for me just briefly in one ear when inserting them. It's hardly noticeable but it is there.

I'm travelling with the Xelento at the moment and still continuously in awe how well tuned they sound. I love how it can feel like you're not wearing anything, which I think really affects the perception of the soundstage. The only issue is not being able to charge and listen to my phone at the same time as I want to listen to them constantly.
I tried the Sony WH-1000XMS which the guy sitting next to me on the plane had and the noise cancellation/isolation was fantastic, the bass hits hard and they have some very cool features but they didn't come near the detail or refinement of the Xelento.
I would guess that the IE900 is airier, has a larger soundstage and better positioning of instruments in the room. Can you confirm this? What I'm looking for is namely a clear separation, so to speak, between (sharp or detailed) voices and instruments and somehow dry (so, not warm?) voices. Which of the two would be more to my taste?
