Just purchased the DT990 600 ohm from a local store today. However, the packaging of the headphones looks completely different from what I show on youtube unboxing videos, and on amazon; it did not have a security seal on it either. Can anyone who purchased the DT990 help me out to see if the headphones I got are authentic?

Companies change packaging all the time.
 
I say don't worry about it, I haven't heard of any fake Beyer's around.

Box looks ok to me.
It might be missing the security seal, because the box might have already been opened.
So the headphones might have been used for a demo or someone bought and returned them.
Take pictures of the headphones themselves and post those.
How do they sound?
What DAC and amp are you using?

Congratulations on buying a fantastic hp. You will need a top quality hp amp to get the best from them. I doubt they are fake. Mine had no box seal.
