Amirons arrived yesterday... Hmmm. I'm disappointed a bit. Bass performance is poor and ear pads are very hard and after 1 hour+ listening they pressing too much. :frowning2: Tried MIY app but couldn't connect to amirons with java exception error... :frowning2: tested galaxy S8 an S5 with lineage OS. Does ear-pads change solve bass performance problem? I'm listening at low to moderate sound levels and bass is missing. :frowning2: Thanx for any suggestions!

I was also quite disappointed at first but after changing to the Dekoni Elite Sheepskin earpads, I now love my Amiron! Much more comfortable and the sound is also alot better(more bass too).

I got both Dekoni pads and the Amirons (latter through BF on Beyer’s own website). Waiting for the Amiron to arrive. Could you please tell us what the best way of fitting the Dekoni is? Should we just pull out the original pads, but not the holding ring, and thread the Dekoni through the ring as shown on the Dekoni video for DT1990?

many thanks!

Hi, I'm about to order brainwavz earpads xl-pu-leather and xl-velour ear-pads. I've fitted ear-pads from BD MMX300 gaming headset and those are much better than original one - softer and bass is better. Are those Dekoni that better than brainwavz pads? Any suggestions? Thank you!

@Augustin79 I've puled original ear-pads down and put mmx300 pads on in 2 minutes booth, it is very easy.

I used a plastic pry-tool to pull off the holding ring.(someone in this thread I think tried both options and clearly recommended pulling off the ring as this made it a lot easier) I then rotated the dekonis on the holding ring using the notch in the ring, and then pressed the ring back on the headphone. Make sure it's correctly aligned before pressing the ring back on. The Amiron manual explains this, can't remember if it came with manual or if I downloaded it from BD's webpage.

I can't say as I haven't tried the brainwavz, but I have read others saying the sheepskin Dekoni pads are the best. I think they are excellent!

Thanks - and did you keep the original foam padding on, or did you remove it? Is the sound with the Dekoni pads better without?

I left everything as is for now, just put the Dekoni pads over the original "internal" foam-pad. I might eventually try it without the original foam-pad behind the Dekonis, but for now I'm really happy with it as it is. Do share your thoughts if you decide to remove the internal foam-pad.

I see these have had a massive price drop in the UK at £250 now, putting them £100 cheaper than the Dali iO6's.

Would you say that these blitz the iO6's for sound quality?
An ABSOLUTE BARGAIN at £250!!!
