Have some time on my hands these days, so.
The plan: Trim the stock DT880 cable. Trim it down to some 1.5 meters for my "near-the-source" listening, and attach an extension for my "away-from-the-source" listening.
The question: When I cut the cable, I see three colored wires. Now, which is which? Which color is ground, which is left and which is right?
Also, to make them lacquered cables conduct, I need to make a blob of solder on my iron to "boil" the wires in, right?
Thanks.
