Hi. I already have a Cowon X5, but it didn't last long...So i'm looking for a great sounding MP3 player which can accept SD cards (and not micro SD),enough robust live a long time and if possible not tactile ! My budget is around 150€. Thanks for your help !

That's a bit difficult to find, but the new Cowon D20 might fit the bill:

I think it does use FULL SD instead of microSD.
I plan to acquire it soon methinks

Good luck and welcome to head-fi.

I read really poor reviews on it, so I don't think it's suitable for me. The D2 seems to be slightly better, but it's also tactile and I read that it was lacking of bass. So I'm searching for a PMP exactly like this without this issues.

Which reviews? (I only read Tech2 or something... not sure if there are more.)
Users only complained about the UI (which is the same as the C2 -- which I already have and don't mind at all) and the resistive screen (which I don't use much either since I usually activate Shuffle, hit play and off it goes...)

About the sound, the Cowons with their BBE and JetEffects try to compensate for what they are lacking and have User Defined slots for you to play with. In fact, I still think my C2 is actually quite capable. I bought a FiiO X3 which I'll directly compare, but the fact that the C2 still provides decent sound with 30+ hours of battery life and I don't have to play around with my files (converting, mp3 tag fixing, etc.) I'm thinking it's an uphill battle already to the X3... we'll see...

If not, buy a modified iPod Classic with an SD card reader and done... :p

There are no more players (at least not "new-ish" that I'm aware of) with support for full SD cards... so it's either a Cowon D20, a modified iPod Classic with SD-card reader or... go old and experience worse sound, no support or warranties, etc...

i know this is an old thread, but this is sexy, micro sd though... however, they now have a 200gb micro sd for only $80....
