The htc 10 is not on the list. It looks incomplete. No iphones either, it is said some are good for audio

My other easy way, get iphone + dragonfly black as dac. At least it is light weight. Doesnt make you get annoyed that much.

So the big boy won't sound as good? That's dissapointing. I would assume that the Canadian version of the Note 4 was not exynos?
This phone sounds OK, but is two years old. I am just exploring options. 80+ percent of my phone time is spent cruising the net and watching YouTube. I think a larger screen would make that even more enjoyable. I am currently at 5.7 inches but would like to go to well over six. If I could improve audio at the same time, that is just an added bonus.

Gotcha, at least for now the x900 is your best option because is a manufacturer is putting quality components in a device they want to make sure it will sell enough to justify the cost and because the demand for extra large screens isn't that high you usually see 4.7 to 5.7 inches, the Maya Max is an example it has a HIFI setup and a large 720p screen and massive battery but it isn't a known brand per se and isnt fully compatible with networks outside of china so I think there was one guy on the thread that bought it but he never came back with a review of the audio, I think 5.7 isn't far from 6 inches in terms of screen size and if you don't want to take a chance with the x900 maybe get a cheap 7 inch tablet for movies etc then ask the guys on here about small USB DACs for the note 4?

What audiphile smartphone should I buy ? I would like it to work both in Europe and USA.

It looks like I can't buy the HTC 10.

Are you looking for LTE is both Europe and USA? Because either way i think you will get 3g data in the USA if you get the international version which is plenty fast, what carrier in EU and which the USA? I can check compatibility for you with any device you are thinking of buying

Your signature change from x900 to V20 Review! Review! :))))

it has some audio related software issues for now (reasonable for being the first wave of android N deivce)
as of audio hardware, my feeling is mixed, will take some time to evaluate and measure...

I use that site occasionally but sometimes a little more digging is required, check the link below basically the "US Unlocked" version is what you need not the carrier versions, the same would probably be for the v20 since the supported frequencies should be the same since the modems are identical, basically you would have full LTE support in the USA but while traveling in Europe you might occasionally drop down to 3g but either way you should have voice, text and data.

I will check myself on http://willmyphonework.net/ to see if it works both in Europe and USA.

I will use it for;

-Listening to music (I have iPod nano right now, please tell me if the audio of the phone is barely better than the iPod nano)
-Youtube streaming
-Internet surfing

-I don't know if this exists but if it can open videos on certain sites that do not have a mobile option, maybe apps exist for this. I cant explain it but you know how sometimes you cant open certain files with your phone. Maybe a certain tablet is better for this ?

The shop from which I can buy has these flagship smartphones:

iPhone 7 (plus)
iPhone 6s (plus)
iPhone 6 (plus)
Samsung galaxy s7 (edge)
Sony xperia xz
Huawei Mate 9
Huawei Nexus 6P
CAT s60
Lenovo moto z
Sony xperia x performance

They have others too but these are the most expensive.

If there is a very good one for internet browsing I could buy that one and a dragonfly dac.

If I listen to this on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbHvN1YR2Zk in 1080p, how much does it matter if my equipment is good for audio ? What if they have 4k audio which they will have in the future ?

These lists might not be any upgrade to your ipod nano.

From my experience,

Android side: Xperia has the best rom stability so surfing internet with happiness. so I will recommend either xz or x perf.
iOS side: you may get iphone 6/6s depending on the size you prefer. It is also a stable for surfing internet as well.

and yes you can plus dragonfly dac for better sound.

Iphone 6s and 7 are basically world phones they work almost everywhere in terms of service, Android I think is better for opening and viewing and easily adding all types of files its more like a mini PC.... though with apps you can do certain things on the iPhone, 4k only refers to the resolution of screens or video content audio is different and as for audio capabilities it depend on you as the listener and what headphones you have....the iPhone is loud and clear, HTC 10 in my experience beats the iPhone is all categories....not that the iPhone is bad but once you hear a good or great audio setup the difference becomes clear. everything else on your list is just ok in terms of sound quality some have low output like the Nexus 6p, the xperia xz, xperia performance or Mate 9 I have never heard before maybe someone on the thread can comment? If you want to store your music or movie collection definitely the US Unlocked HTC 10 or v20 direct from LG with the sd card slot is the best value in terms of being a complete package I think.
