Well if you use over ear headphones, LG V20 should have more power to drive. Actually Letv x900/ Letv x910 can drive as well with surely outstanding sound.

For USB DAC, I think you can just find some matching at your local headphone shop.

I'm not sure of Letv Max2 x820 for its sound quality.

The LeTv X910 is just a refreshed X900 with Snapdragon 820 instead of 810 right? No audio changes?

I have tried KZ ZS3, KZ ATR, Shozy Cygnus on it. Nope I am not using any external dac

This is what I found in phonearena review about lg v20 audio capabilities:
"if you have a pair of high-impedance studio monitors, these will work with the phone just fine. Sound will be loud, clear, and dynamic. However, the great majority of earphones are of low impedance, so they’ll perform just as well in the V20 as they would in most other high-end handsets"

Just keep in mind that LeTV has stopped supporting and updating the X910 due to unsucessful sales

It doesnt have dedicated audio chips

Thanks. So the sound is nothing special?

Yeap I know it has a powerful amplifier only if I really focus on what I am listening. The quad dac mode is just slightly more detailed and smoother. But if I am casually listening there is almost no difference at all. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or it is just like that

Not much talk here of the ZTE Axon 7, at least lately.

Pocketnow's headphone audio quality tests evaluated it very favourably against the V10 and S7 citing very loud amp headphone out, low noise floor and SNR:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTsg7EyYKFM

Spec-wise it's very similar to V10. Same resolution screen but AMOLED (big deal for me, love the complete blacks) rather than LCD and a fraction of an inch smaller.

One of the more unique selling points is dual front facing speakers, kind of like the older HTC phones.

Same CPU & GPU. Both have microSD card slot. However the ZTE is a fair bit cheaper and comes with 64GB ROM standard.

V10s camera is 16MP to Axon 7's 20MP but V10 is more fully featured with a dual front camera setup also.

Saw some reviewers complaining that the ZTE needed to be manually told to focus a lot of the time so the software may a be bit weak but the sensor is still top notch outside of night shots.

Seen that it's gotten some firmware updates as well, fixing a few outstanding issues (UI, previously low WiFi signal).

Personally, I've pretty much made up my mind on this phone, just waiting for a good sale.

I'm planning on getting an Axon 7 as well. I'm still angry at myself for missing B&H's Black Friday sale where it was $350 w/ no tax, included a $60 pair of bluetooth headphones as well as a $50 gift card

Definitely search this thread for Axon 7 if you haven't already. I thought there were complaints. Some kind of reports of something bad. Maybe not about the sound. I can't remember exactly but it seemed serious.

yes, but it's production is very limited and it's not supported anymore.

it does have great hardware though. it sounds exactly the same as x900

Vivo specified it as 129db DR -120db THD+N, which is same as ES9028Q2M/C2M, different from ES9218's 124db DR -112db THD+N. Maybe ESS updated mobile 9028 a little and named as mobile 9038?

ok it is officially ES9038Q2M. according to ESS website:

@GouryellaIV Great just like my x800 US smh....I don't think I'll ever buy any newer devices from LeEco again to be honest, they won't even provide developers with the source code for the x800 so ROM developers can create some marshmallow ROMs for us users they have abondoned
