Gsmarena has a new review on the Mate 8.

It praises the output and generally the Mate 8 seems to be a great music phone (big battery, exoandable storage).

The bad thing: The size, the price...

The size isn't really an issue, I used the Mate 7 for a while, at first it may seems to be big in hands if you come from a 4 to 4.7 inches device, but in a couple of days you won't notice the difference anymore. It fits nicely in every tight jeans as well

How's the battery on the pro 5? Suppose I listen to music on youtube with wi-fi. How long will the battery last?

The battery together with the Sound quality is the strongest point of this phone. I get two full days out of it without any Problem and i`m not just listening music, but also playing games etc. All the reviews mention the excellent battery life (Here`s an example: http://www.gsmarena.com/meizu_pro_5-review-1336p3.php), and they`re saying the truth. I had a Oneplus one, an LG G4 then a Nubia z9 max and a Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and none of them are even comparable.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the Sound quality is better on flyme 4.5 than on any version above 5.0. I don`t know why, but somehow they messed up a little bit. It`s still great, but the Audio is cleaner on full loudness when using flyme 4.5.
Also, you can`t listen and download music online from the stock player on flyme 5.0 or anything above. I think it`s because copyright and they closed it for users outside of China, but it works flawlessly on flyme 4.5 and you can find and download absolutely every song you know for free :)))

if they could make this phone stock android and update it regularly, it would be the phone of the year. anyway, I better start saving to buy this beast phone.

I am coming from a 5 inch device and I am really used to this size. My brother´s Note 3 is extremely big (for me) and somehow, even my Xperia Z1 sticks out of my tight jeans´ pocket.... :D

As for the Mate 8 and the Pro 5, they are similarly "big".

Considering the Pro 5, does every device get shipped with Flyme 4.5 out of the box? If not, is there a way to get back to Flyme 4.5...
