Best Smartphone for audiophile

5-5.2 already struggling.
I'm tall, big hands, but don't like instability one handed.
And I take cheap monitor/tablet for video fun... anyway, I hope that 5.5+ era finds an end some time soon

 
Couldn't agree more. I've got relatively large hands, but reaching the top left corner of my phone is a struggle.

yeah,right the thing with dap's is that they don't have wifi and won't stream music from online services, so on a daily basis i find them inconvenient compared to a smartphone. i'm looking for the best compromise for my habits, and as the market stands now, it's either a good sounding smartphone, or a smartphone + a dac/amp.

Short answer yes.
The HTC 10 has slightly less power than V10 in Aux mode but so little that it doesn't matter. I think you will be surprised how good the HTC 10 actually is. For my ears they are on the same level, V10 more neutral, H10 more bassy. But it's not night and day and you can change the signature with boomsound. I use it with the U8 and have more than enough power.

HTC 10 is overall a quality phone

using UAPP to play back on the G5 w/ DAC sounds significantly richer than the stock sound, so does the 10 sound 'richer' out of the gate too? If so, might need to take a listen.

I read a lot of pages of this thread. I know which phones are the best in terms of sound quality. Now I need to choose between theme in terms of having split screen mode (two apps are running simultaneously on the screen which is devided on two halfs) . This information is difficult to found. So I'm asking you guys which of these best audiophile smartphones (letv le max, lenovo x3 vibe, ZTE Axon 7 and so on)  have split screen? For now I know that Meizu Pro 5 and LG V10 have this split screen mode.

Yes I have only read positive things about UAPP, maybe its time to try it. Does it work with Tidal streaming and offline. And can i use it on two divices or do i only get license to one ?.

Edit: Just found the uapp tread. It works with streaming but not Tidal offline.

Letv max is best for SQ. It is DAP that can telephone and take camera.

Meizu pro5 is not the best in SQ. But it has micro sd but better camera, stable UI. That is why I say "overall".

And you did say that you want split screen. Letv max cannot give you this.
