I use Asus Rog phone 5 for games, multi media, music and with huge battery is perfectly working for me. Apple music lossless and UAPP smooth as butter and so so fast. 3,5mm jack amazing output and dual stereo front firing speakers loud and clear.
If Asus ROG Phone 5 supports native DSD playback, I am all in for this phone. An owner here had verified it can playback DSD files (dsf, dff files), but nobody is able to confirm if it does so natively (hardware decoding by ES9280AC). If the phone does software decoding of DSD files (by music player app) and feeds converted PCM signals to the DAC, I am not much interested due to inherent loss in quality.
Other than that, I don't think it will be much of an improvement over LG's QuadDAC.

I'm thinking of using it as a back up portable audio device. Spec sheet says it can at least do 24bit/192hz audio:
I've been comparing my iPhone XS Max to the Xperia 1 ii in bluetooth audio quality, streaming to the PI7 tws earbuds.
The comparison has been over 3 weeks. And it is undoubtedly an easy win for the Xperia. More definition, oomph and volume. Its crazy just how noticeable it is going from one to the other side by side actually. Pretty bummed as I love iPhones but now have no choice but to solely drive the xperia...
