do you notice a difference in sound when you switch from iPod to a E11?

What's the difference in sound between
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80ohm and  Denon D2000?  and why didn't you go for the DT880. seems like those get way more positive feedback

They come to life a lot more amped. They still sound good unamped but amped it's amazing. The DT880 are a good technical headphone but they are so boring to me. I love immersive and exciting hesdphones. The D2000 are phenomenal, they sound like a cleaner version of the DT770 I think. They are in the same league but The D2000 are at the upper end of mid range approaching high end imo.
