i know everyone has different opinions on this and all the threads i have seen have been very outdated but what are the best all around op amps i have ordered an OPA2107 and 2111 and also have just got LME4562MA,LME49720MA & LMA49860MA to try out,is there any better ones that dont cost much?

I think the best (most expensive ones at least...) are OPA128sm and OPA627sm, but they're both mono, so you'll need 2.

My favourites are ADA4637-1BRZ (single) - OPA2111AM (dual) - AD797BRZ (single) - OPA637AP (single)

I would say LME4562 is the best op-amp I've heard for little money.  Exceedingly neutral and clean, it won't flatter bright systems or headphones.  The "HA" suffixed metal can version is noticeably better but costs a lot more.

Partner this op-amp with good decoupling capacitors.
 
I saw this page: http://www.rock-grotto.co.uk/opamp.htm  but frankly it's out of date.  The OPA627 is easily surpassed by much cheaper op-amps these days.  It's veiled and a bit coloured, though better than 2132/2134.
 
For adapters the name Brown Dog always springs to mind: http://cimarrontechnology.com/ - I'm sure there are UK distributors to be found if you look around the web.

I've been rolling OpAmps for a long time and although the 4562 is impressive on 1st listen (I was impressed) over time the sound can be a little sterile or cold, I found it fatiguing in almost every application over long periods. I would for sure try the ADA4627 or ADA4637 prefereably BRZ suffix. They aren't available as standard DIP versions only SOIC type but get a few of these and you are good to go....
 
For what its worth you could do worse than the metal can version of the OPA2111, it's amongst my all time favourites.

X2 for the metal can version of the LM4562 (think it's LM49720HA). Less cold sounding than the 4562, with more refined top end and fuller bass. (But still very slightly fatiguing at high volumes. Worth it IMO for the clarity and instrument separation.)

i have 6 soic to dip and 2 dual soic to dip adapters ordered and with the metal opa2111 would it work in place of the regular dip 8 chip op amps?

I found this to be the case too, maybe and ideal choice for use with say the 650's? The op2107 has a more full bodied character, deeper lows and less fatiguing highs (typical Burr Brown)
 
I've only experimented with a little dot amp, so take this with a pinch of salt

I'm pretty sure OPA128sm is single...you need a pair of them to amp both channels
 
By the way guys, do you know any opamps (disregarding the price) which have insane details and soundstage?

The LT1028, LT1363 and LT1468 are well regarded for offering detail a'plenty but I think they can be more tricky to impliment.

I will reiterate what I said earlier, the ADA4637-1BRZ to my ears is the best there is.....
 
EDIT: Had a look in my OpAmp boxes and found another old favourite which is really ''Bang for Buck'' and that's the TLE2141CP biased in class A. Gave it a try again this evening and boy is it nice, even better considering it's price....
