Hello all,

I am currently in the market for over the ear headphones that offer the best sound isolation possible at ~$250-300. I want the sound quality to be good (it doesn't have to be perfect), but I'm really looking for something that's comfortable and really dampens outside noise. I was looking at the V-Moda Crossfade LP2, but apparently they're not very comfortable (and they're warm).
Also, I already own a pair of Sennheiser HD-280s which have served me excellently but the quality of their isolation can only go so far for $80.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

The KRK KNS-8400s are comfortable, sound good, and have isolation of up to 30 dB (according to the box).  You might also look at the Philips Citiscape Uptowns, which also have decent passive isolation.  If sound quality is not your top priority, the Bose QC15s have excellent active noise cancellation and are very comfortable.
