Are the XL Spinfits the largest tips out there? I could stand something a touch wider for my left ear and the big ol' Spinfits at 14mm are the widest tips I've been able to find.

Largest tips as I know = Jvc Spiral Dot, L.

Bought JVC Spiral Dot large, and surprisingly, it does not seems to form a better seal and not seems to be large. Due to the Spiral's weak seal, the bass is almost missing unless I push the IEM in my ear.

Tips are always depending on different IEMs, however, for my case, I am really dissappointed and will return them as they are not cheap: 2 pairs of same size tip for $30.

Currently, the best tips I have are SpinFit CP-100M (for Thieaudio Monarch OG and Z1R, more so on Monarch), and Linsoul Tripowin Spiral Groove Memory Foam (for both Z1R and Focus EDM).

Try KBEAR 07, five different sizes and way cheaper. I like the sound better than CP100, and I can buy 5 pairs for the same price.

I'm interested in giving those hybrid tips a try that sort of combine silicon and foam tips, where... I guess there's foam inside the silicon tip or something? I want to see if I can get better isolation out of my Honeydews--the sound great with the silicon tips I've got, but they don't really isolate that well.

Any recommendations?

edit: as for regular foam tips, are Complys still the way to go?

if you wanna try hybrid, can try giving symbios a go. They have pure foam tips too, should be at least as good as Complys if not better.

Composite silicon/foam tips I found Earlogis Mix460 are pretty good, they list tips for a whole range of different IEMs. But if you look at the details, they seem to have the same specifications with 4.64mm internal diameter.

Comply are way more than other foams, they do however have more options with shape and bore size. Tennmak foams are the best I've tried. They are tough, last longer and expand more slowly (makes them easier to insert). They are also cheap, $8 for 6 pairs (free shipping). Internal diameter either 4.5mm or 4.9mm. The 4.5mm fits bigger nozzles, I've never had to buy the 4.9mm ones.

But you need to fit it. 😉

Been doing some rolling with some of my phones recently. Some impressions:

1) Whizzer EasyTips ET100 - These are the kind of plunger shaped tips that have a small extension around the opening. They’re probably the flattest of the tips I’ve tried recently. The material is medium thick and pretty pliable. They fit my ears well, but not perfectly. My slightly larger left ear fails to seal with these if I’m moving around.

2) TennMak Whirlwind - These “whirlwind” style tips are sold under a bunch of different brand names. They’re all the same. Medium thickness silicon with spiral ribs on the underside. That makes them slightly ridged and helps them seal. They fit me about the same as the Whizzer tips but sound a bit bassier. They’re wide bore and really cheap. If they fit a little better I’d stock up on these as a reasonable default.

3) SpinFit CP145 - These are longer than the average tip, even the other SpinFits. These work great on short stem IEMs. They have the SpinFit sound that we all know. They fit both my ears perfectly even though their L diameter is smaller than the others. The deeper insertion is the reason.

4 SpinFit CP 100+ - Now in XL size 14mm and with medical grade silicon. These are very good. Slightly tacky for an AZLA type feel and are perfectly sized for my ears. They’re a good match for several of my sets. As above, the usual SpinFit sound profile is present.

5) AZLA SednaEarFit Standard - These are THICK. While the Whizzer ET100s look like a plunger, these feel like one. They’re the least pliable of the lot but they still form a perfect seal in my ears. They have medium long stems. They sound the most bassy of all of these. I’m curious to try the “lite” version because a slightly more subtle silicon with the same medium long stem design would probably strike a perfect balance.

6) AZLA SednaEarFit Crystal - Another favorite. They have a balanced sound and fit great. They’re pliable and tacky but not as sticky as the Xelastic tips.

7) AZLA SednaEarFit Xelastic - A well known favorite on the board. They fit me great but I dislike the extra sticky silicon.

8) Moondrop Spring Tips - The first time I tried these they didn’t work at all due to the fact that their sizes run small. I couldn’t get a seal in either ear with the L. However, Moondrop just released these in an XL and they fit great! In fact these are probably my favorite of the lot. The silicon is especially comfortable. It’s thinish but robust. They have a similarly tacky surface to the SpinFit CP100+. The sound from them is excellent. They have an extra clean and clear profile that seems to enhance the lower and mid treble. Most notably, I hardly feel them in my ears at all.

So my winners are the Moondrop Spring Tips, the AZLA SednaEarFit Crystal and the SpinFit CP100+. They’re all equally capable and highly recommended.

Azla SednaEarfit Max, the newest ear tips from Azla, may be the highest sound quality nowadays. Tried different iems with Azla Max, Max made all iems sounded more accurate and wider stage. It's better than any ear tips ever used.

Azla states that these are designed for TWS buds, and they look too stubby to substitute for IEM tips. What is it that also makes them good for IEMs?

There are 2 versions of azla max, tws buds and iem standard version. Azla made a special "filter" in these ear tips,
improved the imaging and accuracy of iems, also included nozzle adapter for thin nozzle iems. It is amazing that I've compared azla max to other ear tips, the soundstage on azla max was a touch wider than any other ear tips. The total tonality of iem becomes better when pair with azla max, highly recommend!

Tempted, but I already have too many tips!
