I will be taking the train very often this fall and would like some mid sized headphones in the $50-100 range.
by this my criteria includes..
*closed back for passive noise canceling
*not massive in size. to get an idea of what i think of as small, I used to wear a pair of grado sr80's, the old style before they enlarged the chassis, and they were the perfect size for outdoor headphones in my opinion, but the open back made it almost impossible to listen to jazz on the train.
 
 
any suggestions at all are accepted.

ive been looking into the Sony MDR-V6 priced at 70 bones on amazon, anybody have experience with em? I usually stray away from Sony but maybe you guys can convince me otherwise
