I was interested in purchasing new headphones to give me new experience. I initially wanted to spend about 100$ or less. Now I'm ready to spend more.
 
Then I read the first entries in the thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/527125/non-audiophile-reactions-to-high-end-headphones and I got really excited.
 
What should I get to have a new experience with music?
 
There are the Logitech G930 headphones, they are for gaming. Are they the kind of headphones talked about in that thread? If not, is the difference big? If yes, what do you recommend? I don't intend to do a lot of gaming, and my main concern is movies and music.
 
 
Also, will I need a dedicated sound card?

Since you are probably not gamers, maybe you are not interested in such a headphone (the Logitech G930 one), so how do I know myself? Is there any specific feature I should look for?
