I purchased a new diana krall album today called "from this moment on" and it's pretty neat! Nice full instruments and great voice.

But wich do you think is the best diana krall album and why?

Thanks.

I like '... Moment on', the 'Look of Love' and 'When I look in your eyes' the most, about equally.

Lower on the ranking would be 'Girl in the other room', 'Love scenes' and her Christmas album. Can't say I dislike them, just that the others are better.

I don't know what her best album might be.
I only know I have "The Girl in the Other Room". At first I thought it was kind of run-off-the-mill actually, but I found myself playing it more and more often.
I never expected this, but it is one of my favorites now.
I guess it grew on me.

I prefer her earlier releases. "All for You" is a tribute to Nat King Cole with Russell Malone on guitar and is simply amazing. "When I look in Your Eyes" is also a brilliant recording.

When I look into your eyes; here on her 4th album, she makes the transition from a jazzcombo like on her first 3 albums and adds violins and so. But the personality in her voice is still very much there. The next one, the look of love is too smooth to my taste. All for you and Love scenes are her best 'jazzy' albums IMO. Enjoy.

X8 for Live in Paris.

I saw her in concert a couple of years ago, when she was touring in support of The Girl in the Other Room. Great show, and she's IMHO at her best live in concert.
