Personally, the 80's for me. That was the music for me.

I'm pretty fond of the 90's sound. But... most of my music collection consists of 00-09 albums

I love the 1980s. Especially the alternative and New Wave stuff.

It broke from the stale prog/classic rehash and a lot of it was creative and interesting.

Though a lot of people disregard the 1980s, I remain hopeful for a comeback and wider appreciation. Music has gone stale again today, maybe people will rediscover the great music from the 80s.

I'm thankful that I can get most of it on cheap CDs that predate the Loudness War. A lot of 1980s music sounds quite good.

Absolutely, post punk included.

I lived through the 60s, 70s and 80s. But if I had a time machine, I would go straight back to the 1920s and 30s. Imagine being able to see the Ellington band in its prime or hear Rachmaninov play his piano concerto. Lauritz Melchior at the Met. Fats Waller, Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday in the very beginning. No question.

The 90's, definitely.

Respect to the 80's as well, but I feel the best music from that decade came from only a handful of genres.

The 90's, however, represented the birth of a great many genres that are still relevant today and the evolution of genres that already existed by then.

Any electronic music lover will agree with me.

I would love to go back to the 20s and 30s. Especially with some modern recording gear. I'd love to hear the old stuff in stereo with no noise.

But I am very thankful the old music is available. I wish recording went back a few hundred years, though.
