Wow, thanks for all the responses guys.
digger945- If I am going to go woody, I think I might go darth beyering on my 770's within the next few months.
fatcat28037- I, for some inexplicable reason, do not trust Sony and their headphones, I've had unpleasant experiences with their portable lines and don't want to take the risk.
ast- I appreciate the suggestion, I tried to find more information regarding the phones but I was I seem to be inefficient in doing so. If you can provide some more info on those things I'd definitely consider them.
donunus- I've seen many conversations on head-fi, and what ast said definitely is!
ph0rk- Lugging around won't be the issue, I usually carry 40-50 lbs on me when I am in transit (traveling college student
) so headphones, to me, are negligible. I really do not like the style of the HD-25's nor the fact they are supraaural... :/
Scrith- That is another option I am currently looking into, thanks for reminding me of the possibility. Sadly audiocubes no longer has the Ti version, which I saw a while ago when I was pondering on what to add to my headphone collection.
hyungryul- Well, I didn't have an amp before so I would have music at full blast on my Zune just to get decent volume. I love them, don't get me wrong on that though. However, being a novice audiophile, I would like to increase my collection of phones and therefore like to add something to make my listening opportunities both more diverse and interesting. Also, as I said earlier in this post, I will end up woody'ing my 770's within the next 6 months, so don't worry, that idea has not eluded me, but is an opportunity I fully plan on engaging in.
rodentdog- The DT250's seem similar to the 150's but I still am leaning away from them..
Overall I think the struggle is between the ATH-A900, the beyerdynamic DT 880 and the Denon AH-D2000's. I am so bewildered and yet throughly enjoying the decision making process on something that I seem to grow more and more found of every day.
Again, Thanks for all the responses guys and gals.
