It's probably been mentioned before...Deutsche Grammophon Carlos Kleiber Beethoven Symphonies Nos. 5 & 7; it's in several formats (not all are currently in print) - LP, open reel tape, cassette, CD, SACD, Blu-Ray Audio, digital download in multiple forms. Get it, preferably in the highest resolution format you can play in. Period.

Recent listen to Honeck and Pittsburgh's LvB 5 & 7 blew me away... Thunderous thumping timpani!

 
I'm also relatively new to Celibidache's 7, older 'Berlin recordings'. Not as slow as I expected.

Came across a short article on Fazioli pianos. I remember Uchi wrote about them along with Steinways and Bösendorfers a little while ago. I found it an interesting light read.
However the final paragraph on Mr Fazioli's 'special software' made me do a double take
