I recently picked up the Toneking T4 (quad knowles BA) and am highly impressed with their price to performance. I also own the Toneking nine tails and thought they were the best iem under 150.00, but now I believe there is a new winner. I am more and more impressed with the T4 with every hour I listen to them. I will soon be giving impressions of them, but I've only had them in ear for about 13-15 hours, so it's still pretty early to say anything definitive about them.

Got a chance to hear the TFZ King, Secret Garden, BGVP DM6 and the Magaosi K5 and finally the FiiO FH5.

In the end I purchased the K5 and BGVP DM6 X2.

The DM6 has a better fit than the TFZ and FiiO offerings, and maybe an equal fit to the Magaosi K5.

I like the DM6 the best after ownership, but could see people into vocal music liking the K5 better.

K5 is one that slowly grows on you. Awesome fit and great mids, could use a little more bass thump but otherwise a very good effort. DM6 is better at low end but I think the K5 is less fatiguing and the mids and lower treble are cleaner.

My thoughts exactly. They both could be thought of as complementary I think. But the K5 does take time. I kinda heard what was possible on the demo, then went on for a time not appreciating them, then liked them later for maybe truly what they are. If they had just a smidge more bass they would slay everything. IMO. Makes me curious about the Magaosi M6.

I hate to say it but it seems that the K5 almost goes to show what’s messed up with the DM6. If the two IEMs sound signatures could be somehow joined together it would be insane! Lol

I found a great pairing with the K5. I've been testing the xCAN and it is an answer to the K5 being a bit bass lite. I paired the Opus#1s with the Xcan via the balanced line out on the Opus to xCAN and then ran the k5 balanced via ALO TInsel cable and flipped the X-bass on. That gives the bass just enough of a push forward to remove any feeling that bass is deficient. Still doesn't have the low end extension down into the 30s but at 50 or so it has plenty of punch now. If you get the chance try the K5 running on the xCAN and see what you think. I believe I could live with this pairing and not feel a need for the DM6 at all.

I am planning on a balanced cable for them in the future.

The bass boost from the Fiio Q1 mk2 makes the Magaosi K5 one of the best IEMs I've heard in a long time.
In the $100,- - $125,- bracket I'd like to vote for the BGVP DMG/ niceHCK M6; tuneable and scalable. Note that this comes from someone who actually disliked the DM6.

The K5 and DM6 are opposites. IMO

My review of the Nicehck M6 is up.

I put my review of M6 up too although it is below the $100 mark for now with Jim offering the discount to $88. I's strongly advise getting the LZ A5 filter set (Penon has just the filters available for $20) as that gives you more and in my estimation better tuning options. From your description it sounds like the Red LZ filter might make them a bit more to your liking.

I'm a fan of the magaosi k5 too. Allthough i have the nicehck version. It's not bassheavy but the bass is certainly there when it needs to be. The rest of the sound more than makes up. I think it more than diserves it place on the list as it's one of the best iem's i've heard to date.
