I have the AH-5000's also; definitely Great Headphones!!  I think there are many amps that would sound good with the AH-5000's. I use two Graham Slee Amps: The SOLO SRGII, and the NOVO. Both sound great with the 5000's.

i have a brief impression of my d7000 with the music hall 25.2 vs an ibasso d10. also with k701 and gs1000i (even tho i do not like grado hps)
i have found that sometimes the bass can get congested with very bass heavy songs. however, i liked it the extra boost in bass alot. i was expecting the music hall to much better than my d10, but i found that the difference was very small. music hall the ability to make more impactful bass. the d10 was more detailed

I have really enjoyed the Denon D2000 and D5000 with SS amps by Red Wine Audio, Rudistor and Graham Slee. I have also enjoyed them via hybrid amps like the Musical Fidelity X-Can V2.
