I listen to stuff like 90's indie rock and Prog-Rock (no rap)... I don't really need full isolation like my last headphones; nor do I want full openness. I don't need portability but I would be using them with my i-pod

There aren't a lot of specs available for the dbi pro 700, the impedance is 40 ohms.  They retail for $180 direct from the manufacturer but run ~$40 on ebay.  They are built like a tank and comfort is ok, better pads would be a nice upgrade.  The sound is "fun" and they are ok driven by portable sources, probably a little better through an amp.
