I'm poor as hell, and I want to buy like ten of these.

All I am looking for is the best sound quality of any type of earbuds, headphones, whatever, anything you can put on your head that isn't a speaker, for $10, or $20 max.

The one I've most recently tried is a KOSS KEB-24 in ear, and thats the first time I've tried in ears, and they aren't that great. The small size has no bass but good highs, the middle sized one muffles highs, and the large sized one has good bass but it cant stay in your ear, its too big.

So from my experience in-ears just blow

At this price range you can't expect much more than what you described the KOSS KEB-24s to be. And really, in this range it's either clarity without thumping bass or a whole mess of muffledness but with a bit more bass.

in a more constructive note, Meelectronics M6 with iphone mic. is going on for around $13 at newegg. They are more in the 20-30$ of things and come with a good number of accessories.

If ur buying 10 of these to give out as presents, I say just whatever packaging looks prettiest.

Also, look into headphones from JVC, Sennheiser, KOSS, Sony, they actually have headphones below $20...

Yeah this is exactly what I'm interested in. A low-end headphone that gives the best bang for the buck.

One of the ones I was looking up was a Sennheiser HD 200-something

I saw walmart has Koss KX pros which seem to have the same drivers as the KSC 75s if per chance you don't like earclips. Save up 10 more bucks and go to Best Buy for their edition of PortaPros. They have the cloth covered cables and their PortaPros, for 30 bucks you won't be able to top those under 50 or 75 bucks.

check out the For Dale forums, used stuff can be obtained at  such prices.

I have Altec Lansing UPH326 Blackbeat, they have clothed cable and come with 4 different sets of plugs, i'm not a EIM enthusiastic but i wanted one for portability and someone suggested them to me in this forum, very nice bass. they can be tossed around with no harm, and they also come with a small soft case. amazon pirce now is 29$ but i bought them not so long ago (2 months) and they were 19$... they might get bellow 20 again.

but as biketrash said, if you can get portapros, i'm sure those are the bang for your buck. also super comfortable.

If you can sped the extra $5-10 more you can get the CX300 II from amazon.com with free shipping, if not you can get the CX300 for $20 from amazon. Or if you are lucky CX400 or 500 for $30 or so new from Amazon.

I bought the HD202 on sale for like 16 bucks. They are for at home use, for the cord is really super uber long (enough to go from TV to couch and then some), so not portable. But sound is good and pretty comfortable.

You can always go to google shopping, type in a brand name, and sort results by price. Works like a charm.
