I feel kinda lame-o doing a Curse update for just a pedal so I won't post it on the first page, but I did want to share some thought about it because it's the best one I got so far!

My Gas Pedals Dumb Bell came today and hoooooooooooooooooooooly moley is it great! The dynamics you can get with this thing by just changing your picking attack is hardwired to your brain. Dialed in a sweet spot for my Tele with Area T pickups into the pedal then out to my Princeton tweed in no time flat - I set mine just below 5, and the boost is transparent and the OD...well if this is what a Dumble (think SRV amp) sounds like sign me up. I can't play the blues worth crap, but the tone I was getting sounded so complex and melodic and atmospheric with just one strum, I didn't have to get too fancy at all to show it off. I wish I could have gotten fancier if talent allowed of course.

Anyhow here's a quick demo!

Where else are you going to get that kind of bottom end but still with the "brown sound" filling up the mids without getting muddy, and at the same time switch over to a light pick for some of those tasty chiming highs? Ridiculous. This is a no brainer!

I definitely have the cable bug now, I have three ICs that are each in the $500-$1K range: Acoustic Zen Silver Reference II, Harmonic Technology Pro-Silway MKIII+, and VH Audio Spectrum Ag (unpictured). Gotta make myself stop!

So I was doing a quick demo of a pedal using the SFII, and my kid was just listening. I play it back and I hear that after the first "early rock and roll" bit but before the "classic rock" bit, my kid snuck in a "hoo hoo" - he usually just likes singing along.

YouTube - Boss DS-1 CMAT Rectifier Tri Gain Demo

I just noticed. He sings on key.

This kid is just three and a half! Yeah, proud papa here. Plus, when he's in the mood he's just start making up lyrics to tunes he knows - he's already a better songwriter than his old man
