Next meet, I'll bring a new LCD as I'm looking at a Westy 37" or 42" to replace my 24 incher now. =]

I am so excited, today I received the vintage tuner I won in Ebay. I also just found the owners manual and I wrote to see if it is available. Anyway it is a 12 tube tuner with a magic eye for which I paid $88 including S&H. Here is the pic:

NICE!!! I have a Lafayette preamp that is simply awesome. Good gear with great sound and most people don't know about it.

started out with various models of cassette walkman (no pics, sorry) and later a Panasonic PCDP:

now replaced by a Sony MZ-RH1 (and sometimes NH900) HiMD-recorder/player, LDM+, D66SL eggo, KSC75 and PX100 (currently being used by my dad):

Time to unveil what was behind the update for Post #2,898 - Team Arcam!

The Arcam source that I added to my collection on 2-6-07 is the critically-acclaimed but out-of-production FMJ CD33! Originally I'd set my sights on the DiVA CD192 in the form of the DAC upgrade module for the CD73, but then I discovered Audiogon and the sweet deals to be found there, where I found this CDP for less than the price I would've paid for the CD192 DAC upgrade module. The price alone wasn't the only factor though - at the same time, this move enabled me to clear an entire tier of CDPs, skipping past the $1K range, and smack into the certifiably high-end $2-3K range. And oh how much this CDP blows me away. It's not set up as my primary source right now (not going to be implementing it until I cast out the CD73 and 640C V2 in due time), but I did listen briefly, and the sound is truly exceptional.

The FMJ CD33, DiVA CD73, and Azur 640C V2 are all going to be at the 2007 International Meet to form my mini-tower of CDP sources! CDPs forever!
