I need new headphones for $300-$400 I'm think of Velodyne VTrue, V-Moda M100, Sennheiser Momentum, Sony MDR 1-R, Logitech UE 6000, or Bowers and Wilkins P5, please come up with more that are $300-$400, I like to listen to pop, rock, alternative, rap, basically all types of genres so please give me other headphones that are $300-$400 and tell me which one in this list is the best overall, Thanks. P.S I currently own a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50.

Third. You do need *some* kind of amp though. Even a cheap one will be nice. I just got an excellent HA-Info U2+ amplifier for $43; just factor it into the cost of the headphones.

Are you looking for a closed or open headphone? home use or portable?

The Hifiman HE-400 is not really good for portable use :p

Hifiman HE-400 is indeed great for indoor use but portable they are not. (and isolation is close to zero)

There are lot of discussions and reviews about these headphones so just read more :)

My personal suggestion would be Yamaha Pro 500
