  Actually you can do allot for cymbals with an EQ on the DDm, they sound weird because they are veiled by the midrange. Try raising the 11.8 khz band and you will see what i am talking about. And i am talking about a lowly unamped 5800xm here. Still my opinion is that every iem should be judged for its default tuning and by default the DDMs are certainly lacking on the high end. I personally don't have a problem with it because this makes their presentation more relaxed, but it should be noted for everyone that is interested in them.
