Hey Billy, I know I've heard the AX60 before and briefly written my thoughts, but all these posts on the thread have really made me want to try it again. Do you reckon I could go on the tour and write a more comprehensive review?

Sure, I'll add you to the end of the list.  When you heard them last, the filters were (incorrectly) all the same, you didn't get to listen to both types.

Just a quick update here, I have just received my Unique Melody 3X triple hybrid - a quick first impression out of the box, the sound is incredibly similar, though the UM fits me better.
 
The slight differences between the two are the bass (AX60 has slightly bigger impact, and quicker), mids (UM's is slightly recessed, though somewhat thicker) - everything else are very similar
 
Both of them have similar cost (around $350) - I'll let the UM 3X settled in and will update with a more detailed comparison in a week or two...

So it finally became a bit less warm here for me to spend a bit of time with Asortec AX60 and DUNU DN-D1000 and T-PEOS H200 and the Palaios amp (and UM Mentor )

I think I'm at the point of being able to finish the review in the next few days, but can already send the AX60 and the amp back. well, to Lin0003 again I think

In that case I think you may have to hold for a bit, and perhaps re-audition the AX-60 a bit later?
 
At this stage I have pencilled down the UM tour to start with the sole NSW dweller (H20) then Billy, but I can help you and change the order a bit, H20 can send to you instead of Billy, then White Lotus, then Billy, then so on...
 
So looking at the dates, at this stage you should be receiving the UM hybrid from H20 sometimes during the week of 3-7 Feb, you can grab the AX-60 around then too to help with comparison?
