Sorry but what is the mk3 then ?
The one with two big chassis is mk1

The one with smaller psu is mk2

The one with small psu and gain control is mk3

I guess......

Looks identical to the prior one in all specs and description. Only changes I can see is that they added a pre-out (useful for some), and downgraded from the beautiful wood chassis. Rather uneventul otherwise.

It’s not that I dislike the latest models looks… but I think many of us were lucky to have gotten that beautiful wooden chassis of the previous model. I think I’ll be hanging onto mine just to keep looking at it.

yea, except.. I dislike this new one a little. not because it isn't nice, just so generic. the previous versions are truly wonderful art pieces befitting this special unit..

I do. It's super ugly.

They went from one of the best looking amps to one of the worst imo

Well all I can say is when I bought the wooden chassis Nirvana, my poor suffering wife who normally greets new gear by saying “how long are you keeping that thing” instead said: “that’s art, you have to keep that“… I call that the definition of good design!

Which Version of the Nirvana do you have?

The old Version was art

btw, anyone knows that MK3 was about?

I bought a brand new one in Nov (from Moon Audio) that says MK2 in the back, so I assume there was another identically looking variant, but can't imagine what the difference would be.

Looks like the amp, under the "hood" remains identical between MK1 and MK4 with the only thing that changing is the design and form factor (PSU between MK1 and MK2/3 with otherwise identical amp; and MK4 is the new metal creature)

Although the look of the new Nirvana is not totally unbearable, but the impedance selector on top of the transformer chassis is what ruin it for me...........
