Have you already done a bios flash?

Did you follow the instructions correctly? (take a small SD card, put the file in the root, hen go to the menu when starting the player : update).

I've had the Aune M1P for about 2 weeks now and I have to say it's a fabulous little player the sound signature is perfect for my tastes I have it mainly on shuffle all with a 1tb card packed with 30,000 songs it still surprises me that it only takes 12 seconds to scan the library on start up.
For a "budget" dap it competes with my top teir players for sound quality, Cayin N7, hiby R8. Fiio M15, Shanling M6 ULTRA
I picked it up for £170 with leather case off ebay and is shaping up to be one of my best purchases so far in the hobby.

After a lot of listening sessions, iems, pauses, hesitations (hesitations against the LF filter - Linear Fast - , which, theoretically, is the more "frequency wise" accurate filter, but less accurate in the time domain - impulse response -, against the following one)...

With the M1p, I think the "best" (i.e : more musical, complete, dynamic, textured.... In a few key words) is the LA filter.

So the Linear Apodized filter.

3 words : Make a try.

I would like to have comments on this.

Hello! I am trying to update the firmware on Aune m1p. I formatted the memory card to the correct format and deleted everything from it except the firmware file. When I try to update the firmware I get an error "update.dat error(4)" or "update.dat error(2)". What could be the reason and what can I do?

Here are Aune's instructions for updating fw:
How to update:

1. Copy the update.dat file to the root directory of an exFAT microSD card, and insert the card into the M1p;
2. Select Settings - Upgrade System
3. Follow the prompts to complete the update.
