I haven’t seen a dedicated thread for this relatively new DAP - as I’ve just purchased one, I thought I’d start one!

I’ve seen very little in the way of impressions but based on the few I’ve read and my desire for a compact non Android player, I took a leap of faith and ordered today.

I love the styling, very reminiscent of 00s era MP3 players, plus fantastic it has 3.5mm plus both 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced.

Any existing owners out there? Probably a couple of weeks before mine lands.

Yeah very curious to hear how it stacks up against my favourite non Android DAP, the mighty LPGT. Obviously quite a price difference, but diminishing returns often apparent!

Can you measure the real playback time from one full battery charge for FLAC 16bit/44kHz files (regular CD rip)?

Thanks for staring this thread and for taking the "Leap of Faith" for the rest of us. I literally just tripped across this on the Linsoul Site on my quest to find a battery replacement for my M6 Pro 21 - Love that DAP. Anyway this device popped up and I too have been looking for a non android portable. I'll be eagerly awaiting impressions from you and the others. Anyone here know how and where to get to a battery for the Shanling?

Yes no problem - all of my files are FLAC so I will be curious to determine battery life. From what I've read, it seems to be about 6 hours which isn't great but enough for my use case with this DAP.

Yes sounds great - the folder system and the fact it won’t play albums in the correct sequence is incredibly frustrating! Definitely a love/hate relationship

Barring the software issues, how is it soundwise to the LP6K or LPGT also non android pure music players - known to be reference in turning. Is the M1P warmer? colder? similar?

Colder than LPGT or P6K for sure, but definitely sharing that reference tuning and pitch black background - it can be a bit harsh with brighter IEMs, but overall its impressive sounding and I’m certainly enjoying the convenience of the small and light form factor… incredibly pocketable!

Nice. Thanks for that. IDK how much time you have with it, it could warm up a bit with a few more hours.... I'm just about to pull the trigger on my 2nd 6K and have the WM1AM2 on the way. Maybe I'll cancel the 6K and grab one of these.
