ran a test with fully charged battery playing all music on shuffle (flac 16bit and 24Bit files). player lasted about 6 and a half hours before it died. so pretty much what the specs said and not very long really.

you wonder how it can last so little considering its quite a big player compared to something like the cowan plenue d2 which goes 30 hours.

thoughts?

im really enjoying this dap. chunky boy thats basic as **** but also works really well as a high end bluetooth receiver (aptx hd) if i want to stream to it either using my headphones or connected to my old cyrus amplifier.

small battery life but easily enough while im out and about or commuting.

really nice sound

I'm still undecided whether to buy it, I'm so satisfied with my Mojo 2 Poly that at the moment I don't want anything else, just for the possibility of being able to listen to my music without necessarily bringing my smartphone with me

if youre happy then why spend the money.

it does playing music without smartphone very well. if 7 hours battery is enough for you per charge?

its why i have one because i just use a basic non smartphone.

Poly doesn't have some kind of offline playback function? Seems like such a no-brainer candidate for a "screenless dap" mode.

just a word. the m1p obviously has a character limit for track file names. not sure what it is but noticed when reading sufjan stevens - Illinois record. tracks with long names were missing. had to truncate them.

if @AuneAudio can confirm limit? im assuming its whatever linux limit is?

ive also noticed it cant display certain characters (non ascii?)

so looking at my total tracks number on the player im missing about 50 tracks thru the titles being too long. this is really annoying as ill now have to find them. never seen this issue before on any of my others players

none of this, it is possible to interact with the Poly only through a device, it is however possible to start a playlist and leave the device at home, the music will continue playing but it will only be possible to interact with the volume and the EQ.

i love this player for all its quirks and how basic it is.

regarding playing to bluetooth, ive found putting the aune volume to about 55 (of 72) and then use the bluetooth device to turn up the volume.

any higher than 55 and i seem to get distortion.

cheers

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. The M1p uses unicode and supports 90 characters. Can you please send us some of your tracks and we'll test them and find out what the exact problem is.

@AuneAudio actually that makes sense as the tracks that dont display have titles longer than 90 characters. its just not an issue id seen before on other music players.

one more thing when running the audio via bluetooth and over line out on the 3.5mm, if i set the volume over about 60-65 of 72 the audio becomes distorted. this surprised me as someone mentioned line-out is max volume on the player. i normally have to set it max 50-55.

you manual (see below) showed a line out setting but it doesnt exist on my player. why did you remove it?

im running software 1.064 from your website.

We cancelled the "line out" option because we got feedback that the M1p is mainly for headphones and line out is not that necessary and it may cause discomfort when a user accidentally enable it and listen from the IEMs. Thanks for pointing it out. We'll edit the user manual.

About the distortion, have you tried different headphones? Does it happen to all of them?
