The T800 has a peak around 3700 Hz. That's probably what you're hearing. I personally use EQ to get rid of it.
Indeed, it has a peak there:

Contact them at their official store in AliExpress - they were very responsive there for me.A word of warning.
The T800 is offered for $173 on Audiosense’s website, so I jumped on them.
However, after the order confirmation, silence.
I tried to contact them using all e-mail adresses i could find, but no response.
I then contacted them via Paypal, still no response.
I then escalated the case on Paypal, and after the dispute deadline, I finally got a refund.
Seems like the website is up and running, but no one behind.
Still, you shouldn’t be able to order from the website if no one’s taking care of it.Contact them at their official store in AliExpress - they were very responsive there for me.
I recently got both the T800 and the DT600. I really like the DT600 with a 30 ohm adapter from Dunu.Yours T800 still alive ? How compares with 2023 iems? On shanling h7 still amazing
Not sure you would find many H16 owners here, it got no tractions. But here is my 2 cents: I haven't tried any other iem at this range, still I don't think it's worth it at 250$. Bass is big, textured but boomy and bleed, mid kinda veiled, still lots of details and instrument separation is good. Bought it to gift my sister but she prefer the T800, so do I. She kept the T800. I don't enjoy the H16 that much, eventually I got AKG N5005. I mean H16's not bad and looks nice, but from what I've read, there are better options, even cheaper.I see the Tingker H16 on sale locally. Is it worth a shot and how does it compare to some higher end all BA IEMs with similar driver count? BTW I found out that the BAs are very likely e-audio bass and mid BAs and Knowles 30095 x 2.
Thanks very much for the input. I was actually looking for reasons not to buy it but it's only US$82 , lol and you helped me there. Not sure you would find many H16 owners here, it got no tractions. Mostly I listen to hp and monitors though. Again, take it with a grain of salt
I suppose I am one of only a handful of people left who really love the T800?! I guess it is an "acquired" taste.I recently got both the T800 and the DT600. I really like the DT600 with a 30 ohm adapter from Dunu.
The T800 i find as nothing special.
