Apr 12, 2016 at 11:12 PM Post #1,231 of 1,748

I called these clinics

Al Zahra Clinic:: I gave up after they transfer me to the 6th person.
Mediclinic Dubai Mall : Specialist is on the emergency leave so they can not tell the cost

Advanced Hearing and Balance Center Wafi Mall: Cost is150 AED for both ears, Appointment is necessary.

Cheers

The best and fastest option is go to Medcare hospital next to Al safa park ,ask for DR. Riza the audiologist
the process wll take 15 min and they will charge you 150 AED for the impressions

Hey guys, just wanted say I had a great a time at the meet.
It was great seeing everyone again and seeing new faces to the community.

Thanks to every one who helped setup this great event.

Some of the best things I heard were -
Oppo PM3 on the Cavali liquid carbon a match made in heaven and sounded great.
I also loved the T5p and T1 on the Beyer Amp incredibly clear and dynamic sounds.
HiFiMAN Edition x on the woo audio amp I heard for the first time. Those were a beautiful set of cans.
For the first time I heard an HD-800'S these are some of the most epic sounding pair of headphones I have ever tried and my favorite I heard at the meet.

Hope to everyone again soon.
Best regards.

Thanks @icebrain1 for your impressions. Please add more!!

I was also surprised about the PM-3 and LC pairing - for the price I paid for both I am VERY happy with it...

Other hits this time: I found the Beyerdynamic DT1770 very engaging and fun. Was impressed by the T51p - I had the T50p and didn't like it but this one is so much better.
The MEE audio P1 was a huge surprise. So nice for the price - scary!!
The HD800S with Modi's music on the WA8 - was sublime - I have a new goal now - this is it
Oh and I loved the Noble K10U - it sounded so good - the bit of treble borderlingin on harshness that some heard - is gone now after a bit of burn in....I wish I could have burned them in a bit longer for you guys. They are amazing. Next time again. Can't stop listening to them....

Cheers!

Thanks. This is a great find indeed. $99 for the HE-350 and $35 for the R-00 in ears, sounds really tempting, though I really don't need another headphone, LOL

Will from massdrop compares them in the comments with the Sennheiser HD580 and the current HD598....

Could be very interesting. Also curious about the RE-00.....

Ya they seem pretty epic especially for their price, can't wait to give them a listen. I also love that they updated the connectors and use the hex 2.5mm connection.

I just hope they live up to the expectations.

I have read countless posts about these in reddit and headfi over the past few days, really tempted to buy one. $99 + $15 all in would cost around 430dhs. But they will be shipping it in Aug. Now Im thinking if I should buy these or DT990 250 which I can get for around 500dhs. I have a Cayin C5 with me, would that be enough to drive the 990?

Main idea is to get a open back headphone for daily useage, and I like some bass. Given this budget price point, any advice?

I cant say for sure but a review of the cayin c5 said they can power some very power hungry cans.

We haven't heard the he350s yet, but you can listen to the dt990s here in dubai to test how they sound. Just take your C5 and you can see if it has enough power to drive them and if you like the sound siq.

If not go with another pair or wait for he350s.

Good listening.

Absolutely - the Cayin C5 can easily drive the DT990 - all versions. My C5 has no problems with my HD650 (and that is a very nice pairing) and my T90 - so it should be more than fine.

The HE-350 is of course an unknown factor  but for $99 I am sure you can easily sell it for the same price after trying it....

Great, thanks Koolpep.
So it's up up to you there's still awhile till August. You can wait and test the he350s, since they will be easy to flip if you don't enjoy them. Or pickup somthing else untill then. And sell which ever you like less.

Best of luck.
The c5s seem interesting never heard of them before but they seem like a great portable amp, thanks for sharing.
