Audio Technica M-50 is €170($230) in Euroland. Still worth it?

Well, I always heard they were great for their price but aparently, it has risen quite a bit. If I look around, I can get an AKG K-710 just for €200.
Then again, the opinion is fairly good. Warm, wellrounded, with a deep, fullbodied, present yet not boomy bass.

But since the price has gone up this much, maybe there is another headphone I should consider which offers all of that but at a higher level.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

I've no advice only to say that I too was pretty disappointed at how much more expensive ATH seem to be over here (Ireland and UK), I was almost going to order a set of ATH A700 yesterday but you can get them in the states for around $100 or just over but here they were costing about €170!!
