Depends on your budget, but I'd recommend Talos from Arctic Cables https://www.arcticcables.com/talos-grand-seriesI did, but I’ll look again. Just wondering if it might knock too much shimmer off the top. Thanks.

What are your thoughts about Mogami versus stock cable?I made myself a 2.5mm cable using Mogami quad wire and Moon A2DC/2.5mm connectors for use with my A&K DAPs as well as with a 2.5mm > XLR adapter in my desktop amps. I don't have any Pentaconn devices so it's a big help for me.
Nice profile Pic (I may have shot it).I hope to add these to my collection one day. Love the look of these. Some valuable responses in this thread
Sounds identical. What are your thoughts about Mogami versus stock cable?
The cable for $265? Let us know if that initial impression proves to be real... Quite a hefty premium over the Mogami they offer. Custom termination with the 4.4mm? And how microphonic is the cable sheath?I took a chance and purchased a Cardas cable from Fog City for these. One thing that surprised me (using my Mojo2) was the v shaped signature simply disappeared. I assume as the sound stage widened with the upgraded cable so did the v shape. I'll need more listening time but think I made the right choice. Also ordered some Yaxi pads today out of curiosity from some previous posts here.
Mojo2 and WP900 are a good combo even without EQ. Paired here with Brise Audio TOTORI cable which costs as much as the WP900 themselves... But YOLO.Correct, and have not noticed any cable noise thus far. The absence of a V-shape was very noticeable right away.
Listened for a few more hours on a walk yesterday and again assume as the sound stage opened up the V-shape disappeared as one consequence.
Although, I was pretty concerned about introducing more treble energy with the switch to Cardas and wound up knocking off another decibel from the top which seems to be working well overall.
I’ll update again if any more insights here but I think it may have been hard to get rid of that V-shape with Eq or other mods which may justify this expensive upgrade for me, in addition to a larger soundstage and most likely better detail retrieval, imaging, etc.
For example, I did not spend a lot of time with the stock cable but was constantly wondering how I was going to bring the vocals forward when I was listening to the stock cable.
It’s also interesting to see that they include a $25 cable, which is the cost of replacement, for these headphones.
Also using with this new adapter for the mojo2:

I’m also curious to see what the Yaxi pads will introduce to this equation as I may be able to drop a DB off the top from what I’m hearing on this thread.
Without owning a mojo2 I’m uncertain if I would’ve kept these headphones as many mods seem unable to accomplish what this mojo2 seems easily capable of.
In this case adding some midbass and taming the treble, although again, I think bringing the vocals forward may have been more tricky with Eq.
Check your PM...I’m also curious to see what the Yaxi pads will introduce to this equation as I may be able to drop a DB off the top from what I’m hearing on this thread.

No to me! I assume I may be on the more treble sensitive side as some folks are. Without tamping down the treble these WP900’s are simply unlistenable in my opinion. I don’t believe more burn-in will change this for example. I think a mid-base bump may be important to others as well to add some warmth/body with the Mojo2. But to each their own!Mojo2 and WP900 are a good combo even without EQ. Paired here with Brise Audio TOTORI cable which costs as much as the WP900 themselves... But YOLO.

Yup, been said countless times - divisive headphones and not for general use. Nothing is going to mitigate the spiky top end.No to me!
